peer recovery support specialist - (BILINGUAL spanish preferred)
The Program Manager is responsible for program development and implementation of APAA peer recovery support program services. He/ She oversees all aspects of the program, from inception to execution, ensuring that objectives are carried out on time and within budget. He/ She supervises team members, prepare progress reports, and ensures the smooth functioning of program operations under his/her oversight.
Duties and Responsibilities
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversees APAA recovery support programs, including planning and coordinating programs and services, developing policies and procedures, organizing weekly support groups and special events, and supervising peer support specialists.
Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with grant requirements and audits.
Oversees the development, implementation, and enhancement of program structure, programs, training, and supervision of staff and volunteers.
Facilitates interdepartmental meetings and staff workshops.
Coordinates agency participation in community events, programs, and activities.
Supervises the development of volunteer service opportunities.
Facilitates the development of curriculum for recovery support groups.
Oversees program enrollment and eligibility processes.
Monitors and manages program metrics to manage employee performance.
Designs, develops, and revises program material and promotional items.
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of and skilled in Microsoft computer operations and programs.
Experience in working with volunteers and peers in recovery.
Familiar with city and county government structure.

Analytical and strategic thinking.
Ability to anticipate problems/risks, identify causes, and implement solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in the field of behavioral health or minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related field can be substituted for a degree.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in program design and implementation.
Relevant experience working with volunteers and peers in recovery.
Familiar with the fundamentals of addiction, substance use, and mental health recovery.
Preferred Qualifications:
A master’s degree in the field of behavioral health.
Familiar with city and county government structure.
Supervisory experience.
Working Environment: This position requires 100% on-site work (no remote or hybrid work). The position may include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and working at a computer.
